The effort seeking immediate and expanded support for children and families affected by the war and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Boston, MA – Feb 28th, 2022 – The joint efforts and quick action of Longwood Care, a US based mental health non-profit and direct coordination with The Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine, will help support the millions of potential victims immediately with a long-term commitment.

The organizations are focused on offering direct face-to-face and telehealth mental health services to individuals, children and families affected by the crisis with therapists, psychologists and clinicians providing therapy in English, Ukrainian and Russian languages to cope with everyday difficulties, treatment and rehabilitation for trauma, PTSD and other conditions.

“We are currently working in various cities and towns along the frontline in Donetsk and Luhansk regions with on-the-ground efforts to provide psychological and psychosocial support to children and families suffering from war operations. Every child and family who has suffered from the war in Ukraine must get psychological help.” Said Lena Rozvadovska Founder and CEO of Voices of Children Foundation.

This partnership is committed to providing no-cost psychological support to Ukrainian children and families who are impacted by armed conflicts like this one locally and abroad. Services include art therapy, traveling psychologists and therapists who specialize in trauma, and assistance programs for individual families.

Quick action to expand access and availability of mental health services and humanitarian aid to the millions of potential victims in Ukraine, is necessary and that we come together during times of crisis.

“The trauma experienced by many during the conflict will have a significant impact on individual mental health and has placed undue stress on children and families. This crisis has place millions of people at the center of a tragedy that will have a long-lasting impact. We must provide immediate support and access to mental health services and treatment.” Said Anna Svetchnikov Founder and Executive Director of Longwood Care.

The combined efforts and missions will provide mental health and humanitarian aid to those in directly and immediately in need. We are also engaged in advocating for expanding children’s rights protection system in the country.
