From June 16th to 18th, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, CPHI China 2026—this grand gathering of the pharmaceutical industry—was a must-attend event for Risun Bio-Tech Inc.
To be honest, my first reaction upon entering the exhibition hall was, “Wow, so many people!” The 250,000 square meter space housed over 3,700 exhibitors from more than 180 countries, making the aisles bustling with activity. Some were carefully examining samples at their booths, while others stood and discussed collaborations while sipping coffee. The long-lost sense of tangible connection from face-to-face interaction felt more real than any online meeting.
Our team brought our “core expertise”—plant Extract raw materials—to the exhibition, offering export services for pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and formulations. For three days, the chairs at our booth were almost constantly occupied. From long-time European clients making special trips to say hello, to new friends from Southeast Asia meticulously comparing their demand lists, and buyers from the Middle East and North America showing great interest in our supply chain efficiency…we discussed products, delivery times, market fluctuations, and which products had recently seen the fastest price increases. This kind of direct dialogue is more effective than sending a hundred emails.
What made us even happier was that several clients finalized preliminary cooperation intentions on the spot. It wasn’t the polite “we’ll contact you later,” but rather genuinely sitting down to calculate prices, schedule plans, and even agreeing to send samples immediately after the exhibition. Anyone in foreign trade knows that trust is built through these face-to-face interactions.
Besides discussing business, we also attended several forums and visited the exhibition areas of our peers. We clearly felt the rising popularity of biopharmaceuticals and high-end excipients in the past two years, and the increasing fervor surrounding equipment automation. These signals are living indicators for us in helping clients select products and recommend suppliers.
The three days flew by. Although everyone’s legs were sore and their voices were hoarse when we packed up, we felt very fulfilled. CPHI is like a mirror, reflecting the ups and downs of the global pharmaceutical supply chain, and also reflecting our own position—we need to be both grounded and flexible.
